Would you like to know where your all-natural wood shavings are produced? In the heart of the Colorado Rocky Mountains, on our family ranch in Parshall, Colorado.

We create the wood shavings from lodgepole pines that have died on our land, part of nature's cycle of regeneration that began with a drought in 2002. Our once healthy pines were struck by the pine beetle, and as the trees died, they turned from a vibrant green color, to a reddish-brown color, and eventually to a grayish, ghost color when all the pine needles fell to the ground. The Shavings are produced by a mill, and this mill specifically only creates shavings.

Each bag of shavings are carefully loaded, wrapped, and tied onto pallets for safe keeping.

Each of our horses are lead to the stalls that are located near our mill. The stalls are filled with newly cut shavings and the horses are put in the stalls to test the shavings.

We now log the dead trees and convert them into pure pine wood shavings, which we're pleased to offer for private and commercial use.
